Charleston Catholic High School is committed to guiding the students in all areas consisting of spiritual, intellectual, aesthetical and physical areas. It is committed to helping the students to fulfill the requirements of their inner talent and abilities. The school is situated in the center of bustling downtown of Charleston in West Virginia. It is a Catholic high school private school. It accepts students from a wide range of ethnic, racial and socio-economic areas. It accepts students from grade six to twelve
It provides careful college preparatory program for all students that include extensive athletic and extracurricular programs which create a challenging atmosphere in the students. Its hundred percent graduates are accepted in four year colleges and universities across the United States. This school is recognized by North Central Association of Schools and the State of West Virginia. The school challenges student’s intellectual, spiritual and personal levels in a society environment. Theology classes of the school develop faith in the students and give personal growth and an understanding of others viewpoints.
All students are accepted in seven classes per day. All courses of the school are provided at the preparatory level with seeing the requirement of advanced placement courses available which begins in tenth grade. Placement is based on achievement, aptitude and motivation in al courses. Students of the class of 2007 were admitted by 116 colleges and universities and are studying in 32 different colleges and universities throughout the United States. For graduation promotion, participation in community service is a requirement for the students.
Student activities show that life at Charleston Catholic High School includes a wide range of programs and service opportunities. Involvement in exceptional clubs/activities and athletic teams is very high capturing over 90 percent of the student body. The allotment of class rank and grade point has been described at many levels like academic grading scale, academic assessment, Stanford achievement, senior class profiles and mean sat scores class.
