Texas Military Institute was founded in 1893. It is one of the oldest Episcopal schools in the southwest. The school is the coeducational which gives the admission in class 6 to 12. TMI does not do any kind of discrimination in the selection of student or its administration of educational policies, financial aid, merit scholarship and other school administrative program on the bases of gender religion or origin. The school is having the educated and veteran teachers. Student teacher ratio is 8:1. And the average class size is 15.

The school is also known for its highest standards of academic excellence. The mission of TMI is to give excellent academic education with value based on the teaching of the Christ. The knowledge may also be use for the good or the bad purpose so to use the knowledge for the right cause, the school teaches the spirituality, ethics and the moral values to their student. The school produces challenging motivated students to develop their potential in service and leadership.

The school is the non profit corporation. The school raises the fund for the operation and development of the college. It raises the fund through alumni’s, parents of the students, and business houses. TMI has two events in a year to raise the fund. These are annual gala held in September and panther scramble golf tournament in April.

TMI is one of the oldest schools in the Texas. The school gives excellent academic education with the teaching of Christ. The school teaches their students the moral values, ethics, self-discipline. There is no discrimination in the school on the basis of cast religion gender and color. There is the very good atmosphere of learning in TMI. The performance of students is being checked at each and every step. TMI also gives the scholarship to the students. The student those who are not able to take admission in private school can read in the Texas Military School because it provides the scholarship to the poor students.
