The academy was founded in 1857. It has day as well as boarding school. This academy was started from a small log cabin located along the banks of the Mississippi River near the developing city. They teach the boys a liberal arts curriculum including history, English, Latin, Greek, astronomy, rhetoric and mathematics. The day school is for students of grade 7-12 and boarding school is for 9th grade. They emphasizes on academic and spiritual growth that makes the students ready for the future and colleges as well.

They provide opportunity of making strong relationship with top university, personal attention, high academic standard, opportunity in sports and activities and an opportunity for spiritual and moral development. They concentrate on intellectual, physical, physical, spiritual, emotion, social and moral growth of students.
